Multi-Level Etching with Sharon Lindenfeld
SUN 10/7
12am – 4pm
$125 (includes all materials)

In this multi-level workshop, students will delve into the beautiful art of copperplate etching.  Depending on participant level and interest, techniques covered may include line etching, spray paint aquatint, sugarlift, softground, spit bite, white ground, color printing, and a la poupee. Students will bring  a sketch or idea for a 6 x 8″ image which we will transfer to a plate, etch with acid, and print on an etching press. This process creates fine, elegant lines, velvety tones, interesting textures, and often, happy accidents and unexpected results.
