Pronto Plates with Sharon Lindenfeld
SUN 11/4
12am – 4pm
$125 (includes all materials)

In this workshop, attendees will be introduced to the fun and versatile process
of pronto plate printmaking. Pronto plate is an accessible, quick lithographic method that doesn’t require
chemicals, acids, or expensive materials. Pronto plates can either be drawn on directly with sharpies,
crayons, or ballpoint pens, hand painted with India Ink, or run through a laser printer or Xerox copier. The
final results have the potential to be colorful, immediate, densely layered, and experimental, and to
demonstrate a mix of photographic, digital, gestural, and painterly marks.

Each student should email 2 digital files (black and white, but we will add the color by hand in class!) which
will be made into 8.5 x 11” pronto plates. They can be photographs, illustrations, or scanned drawings. We
will also be making hand drawn plates as well, so bring ideas!
