Lisa Conrad

Executive Director
Lisa Conrad is the founding executive director who brings her passion and vision to the Newark Print Shop. A visual artist, curator, art director, and educator, Conrad holds a Masters Degree in Art Education. As a practicing artist, she has created a multifaceted body of work including ceramics, works on handmade paper, artist books, paintings and prints. Her work references a range of influences, from shifting urban landscapes, displacement, regeneration, and recreating home. She founded the Newark Print Shop is 2012 to share her love of fine art print. Conrad lives with her son in Newark, NJ.

Steve McKenzie

Master Printer and Shop Manager

Stephen McKenzie has been a printmaker/artist since his undergraduate years at St. John’s University in Collegeville, Minnesota. He received his MFA from Rutgers University Mason Gross School of the Arts. Professionally, he was employed for 21 years at the Newark Museum, working in their Education Department. His involvement with the Newark Print shop dates back approximately 5 years where he currently serves in the capacity of Master Printer and Studio Manager. He enjoys initiating large scale printmaking projects; specifically making the world’s largest monoprint which was certified by Guinness World Records. His personal work for the last 10 years has focused on gun violence in America.
